Travelers with an acute concern for the environment are encouraged as ecotourism excursion is part of traveling. This is designed to take small groups or large into undisturbed or new and relatively undeveloped natural area and to promote environmental awareness and support struggling local economies. This form of travel also idealizes sustainability and encourages travelers to leave and take nothing.
Its purpose is to educate the traveler;  with enough funds for ecological conservation; directly benefit to the economical development and political empowerment of local communities; and foster respect for different cultures and for human rights, so that future generations may experience destinations relatively untouched by human intervention.

Nigeria offers a wide variety of tourist attractions such as extended and roomy river and ocean beaches ideal for swimming and other water sports, unique wildlife, vast tracts of unspoiled nature ranging from tropical forest, magnificent waterfalls, some new rapidly growing cities and climatic conditions in some parts particularly conducive to holidaying.

Water Falls
Ikogosi natural warm spring; that flows and mixes with cold water issuing from another spring. This place attracts tourist from all over the world.

Zuma Rock
This gigantic rock sculptured by nature is situated along Abuja-Kaduna expressway. It is an enormous 1km long Isenberg, standing out like a giant alter. It bids farewell to visitors from the Centre Unity and welcomes travelers from the Savanah region. When viewed from it looks like a human face. It is agreeably a wonderful scenery a must see for every tourist.

Beaches
Nigeria has over 800km of coastlines covered with unpolluted sandy beaches along the costal boundary with the Atlantic Ocean. There are also thousands of kilometers of inland waterways, creeks and lagoons that provide opportunities for inland beaches and other water-based resorts. There are lots of beaches like: Alpha beach, Coconut beach, Bar beach, Tarkwa Bay, Calabar beach, Lekki beach and host of others.

Azumini Blue River Rose
Azumini Blue River is located in Abia State towards its boundary with Akwa lbom State. The River has become a resort for tourists because of the pleasantness it offers. The attractive features of the River include its crystal-clear blue water; canoe rides; sandy beaches with such relaxation facilities as chairs and tables. At the beach also, BBQ grill are delicacies provided for picnickers.
